Purpose / Philosophy
This Portal is intended to provide a community forum to openly discuss and further the understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and how these practices are practically applied in the real world. The Portal is also a place for individuals interested in ITSM to establish relationships, share experiences and challenge the concepts put forth by the greater ITSM community.
To that end, the user community is encouraged to share ITSM experiences, ideas and questions with the group and have the group address this input with respectfully serious and thoughtful consideration, feedback and counterpoint.
Posting Guidelines and Suggestions
Do showcase your knowledge, experience and insights, but please don’t send a commercial about yourself or your product to the group. Exception: Users seeking employers or employees are welcome to interact in the “Employment Forum”
Do be respectful and tolerant of others’ ideas and opinions.
Limit postings to topics associated with IT Service Management, or other topics that directly impact the ITSM community.
Limit posting remarks to the topic of conversation. Do not direct inflammatory comments of a personal nature at any specific user.
Links to articles on other sites must be accompanied by a brief description of the linked content and additional commentary concerning its relevance to the Portal user community. This is necessary to respect the copy rights of the articles owner.
Portal Administration
The Portal Administrator reserves the right censure or remove posts that in their opinion do not serve the purpose / philosophy, or posting guidelines of the site.
Content that is questionable (borderline as to whether it is coming across as direct advertising or off-topic) will be removed, and a follow-up e-mail will be sent to the submitter explaining why this action was taken.
Postings that are active solicitations or commercial in nature will be moved to the Marketplace section of the site.
Uploads and File Sharing
Portal uploads and file sharing offerings may only be posted by trusted sources known to Covestic and only after appropriate virus scan and security evaluation.
Users wishing to share a downloadable tool or artifact will to need to submit the file to the Portal Administrator to for review and security evaluation prior to it being available on the Portal.
This action is taken in an effort to protect the User community from potentially harmful computer files.
